As you know I have a heart for Baby Lost Mother's. (BLM) I am not a member of the Secret Society and was very naive for the first 57 years of my life. I personally know a few people who have lost their children and my own daughter suffered a miscarriage several years ago but I never knew the numbers. Here is a link to HOPEXCHANGE that will show you the numbers. (Please go over and look at this) I have tried to spread the word through my blogs on the importance of knowing the hearts of these women, knowing what they are going through and what you need to know to help them through this horrific journey of grief they are on. I had tried several times to write to Oprah thinking that her show would be the perfect venue to get the word out. This is a SECRET SOCIETY because no one wants to talk about it.
My dear friend Laura at MOMENTS OF PAUSE has written a wonderful post about something so simple as the tag that is going around on Facebook to bring awareness to breast cancer. It seems like an innocent tag to most but to those who have suffered the loss of their baby or have infertility issues can be hurt when they see this. I don't go on Facebook often and actually didn't know about this until I read Laura's post. Then shortly after I read it I got an email from my niece sharing this tag with me. Most likely I would have played it too just like Laura did.
This is where God comes into play and His timing is always perfect. Laura heals people with her beautiful posts. Those who are newer BLM can feel comfort in reading her posts but she can only reach so many people so spreading the word like I am doing now will bring others to her post. God definitely had a reason for the timing of how I received both of these emails.
I am not saying anyone is wrong for playing this tag. I think I did the bra one last year. So far I haven't found anything saying that this tag is actually supporting breast cancer awareness. I also know that we cannot protect people from getting hurt or having pain because of this. I just wanted to bring awareness to my BLM whom I love and felt the need to share the post written by Laura.
If you are in need of a handkerchief for yourself or someone dear to you who has lost a loved one please email me at dpucci9972@gmail.com . I will need a full name, address, a brief description of who passed away and a link to a blog if you have one. Take care and God Bless.
