We had some rain last weekend which was very much needed in Southern California. I was thrilled to see the rainbow. I love rainbows.
I think that love came from The Wizard of Oz with Judy Garland singing Somewhere Over the Rainbow when I was a young child. We also played that song at my mothers funeral 32 years ago. My mothers name was Dorothy.
Turns out this rainbow was a double rainbow.
Felt like it was right in our backyard.....
Of course we all love when God sends us a rainbow. We all go through storms in our lives and seeing a rainbow brings us comfort from Heaven.

Rainbows are HUGE in my life. I always stop what I'm doing to take them in. We named our first son Noah after a difficult time in our life in part because of what the rainbow promises. And then...now after Nate's death...God sent us our Rainbow baby. Our Pastor reminded us that God only makes rainbows when there is SUNSHINE ***AND***RAIN. You need both to make a rainbow! Story of my life...

I love rainbows! I get excited to see them no matter what. I have dozens of pictures of rainbows that I've taken with my phone. Very cool that your moms name was Dorothy and yall played that song at her funeral. Very nice.
I wish it would keep raining here in Dallas. We had a good rain last week.
I love rainbows and double rainbows too! For me, it's more than just refraction of light, it's a sign of hope.
