As some of you know I am very new to blogging and I am still learning so much about baby loss in our world. The figures I read are astounding. Four months ago I had no idea the vast number of women and families who have lost their babies/children to miscarriage, stillbirth, SIDS and other diseases that take them so early in their lives. This is the first year I have participated in the lighting of the candle on the 15th of October or even known that October was National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. It felt good to participate in burning the candle in honor of all the angels who left our earth too early. If only we could do more to heal the hearts of those who are living without them in their arms.
There are a few women I have been following who have recently given birth to a baby/babies since the loss of their other child/children and also a few who are very close to their due date. I know that the child/children that they lost is ever present in their lives daily even though they reside in Heaven and the journey of loss that they walk will never change. The new baby will never change that but oh how happy I feel inside that they now have the opportunity to have this baby/babies in their life. I pray that all the baby loss mother's will be able to have this opportunity either by giving birth themselves to a full term healthy baby, by adopting a child or by use of a surrogate. GOD HEAR MY PRAYERS
If you or someone you know is in need of a handkerchief to catch each tear that falls please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please provide me with the full name, address, description of what happened and a blog address if available. My heart is deep with sadness for all the women who are living with this sorrow.
(I also want to say that if I have said something in this post to hurt you in anyway I am truly sorry)
