THANK YOU

I want to thank everyone who has stopped over here and at my other blog leaving me encouraging comments about this venture of mine. I have accomplished so many things over the last few weeks and everything has come together perfectly. Your encouragement has given me strength. I am in the process of getting a button made to place on your blog. (I've had several requests) I will let you know when I receive it.

I want to tell you about my Aunt Blanche. Blanche Josephine Pesek (Vlcek) was born on January 16, 1916 and passed away at 91 years old on February 3, 2008. I had the opportunity to get to know her better for the two years following the passing of her husband Bill on March 3, 2006. They got married in the late 50's when she was in her 40's. Since Bill had parents who were evil he never wanted to have children. She felt she was too old to have children, it just wasn't something you did back then. Oh how much she wanted to have a baby. Blanche was my father's sister.

So several years ago I shared this story that if I had the money I would give these handkerchiefs out to women who have lost a child. So I want to thank my Aunt Blanche for the opportunity she has given me. She would be so proud of me. I was with my aunt the day before she passed and she kept talking about her babies. We asked her who she was talking about but she just kept saying my babies. So in my weird/crazy mind I like to think of her holding and playing with all the babies who have gone to Heaven before their mother.

I have sent out my first five handkerchiefs. This is nothing to boast about but I wanted to let you know that it pleased my heart to do this. I have put the first names of the women who are receiving handkerchiefs from me on my blog. The main reason is so you can stop over and say a prayer for them, giving them comfort during this unbelievable time in their lives.

If you have someone in mind that you would like a handkerchief sent to please leave me a comment so I can email you for the information. God Bless.

I think it's so great that you're doing this. So many tears are shed and a personal handkerchief to catch each of those tears is wonderful.

Your story of your aunt, and her talking of her "babies' when she had none -- oh my, that touched me very much. How profoundly sad, that she wanted children and never had them, but I hope that at the end, she indeed thought she had "babies," and that it was a comfort and a joy to her.

Good luck in your new venture; what a kind and loving thing to do.

Hi, Debby,
I saw your link on Tina's blog and found you over here. I just wanted to share that your story about your Aunt Blanche touched my heart and brought tears to my eyes as I thought of her loving on all the parent-less babies in Heaven. It took a minute for me to think that just maybe, she was loving in mine, and that really made me teary! We lost triplets three months ago, and I miss them so much. I hope your Aunt Blanche has found them. :)

I am just stunned and touched to happen to find your site. I have lost three babies, and I have to say this is the sweetest thing that anybody could do from the bottom of their heart. It is hard getting family and sometimes even spouses to understand how you feel after the loss of your child, but to have a stranger understand and to be so loving a caring is just so sweet. I really do have faith in people now, and it is people like you that help me overcome my doubts. Thank you so much for what you have done.
