THIS COMES FROM MY HEART

I would be honored to send out a handkerchief to a woman who has just lost a baby/child. If you would comment on this post I will e-mail you back to get all the information I need to get one in the mail to her. This has been a dream of mine for several years. I first started this when my friend lost her son several years ago giving her a handkerchief and saying that this is "for your tears." After that I started to bring a handkerchief when I attended a funeral to give to the family who was grieving. I tried to think of ways since then that I could do this as a service but wasn't quite sure how to begin. Since I have been blogging for the past few months and have been reading several posts by women who have lost their precious babies I realized that maybe, just maybe, this would be the way to start. I am doing this with my own resources and will continue to do this until it is no longer feasible for me to do. My heart aches for these women and it is a simple way to show that I care.

Wow what a wonderful way to be used by God. I pray that the Lod would give you the right words and that the women that you come in contact with would feel God's arms wrapped around them through your words.

Rebekah said...

I think that's a beautiful idea! One of the reasons we started the kits we're doing is to let other women know that there are people in the community that care about them and want to reach out during this time of loss. I pray that we're both able to keep going and share some love & hope for those who are hurting.

This is such a great idea. I can not imagine the pain of the heart more devastating than losing a child. I lost my brother, he was 22 at the time and I, 19. IT RIPPED MY HEART RIGHT OUT... I was supposed to be with him when it happened. I know my mom still after 34 years has a hard time around his birthday and death date. I am so thankful to have found God in my life, which has taken away the hurt. Now I smile knowing that His promise of eternal life is in my heart. Do you have a P.O. Box number for accepting donations to your cause? You might want to do that. and if you are able to design a button, please let us know so that we can help spread the word on our blogs. Do you have something written that you pass along with your handkerchief? or is there something printed on it? I only ask to see if there is any way of helping you with this. Thanks for working so hard to get this thing going. It is alot of work, but so rewarding to know that you may be easing someone's pain even for just a moment. Thanks for sharing your passion. My email address is lrick4444@yahoo.com only if you are wanting to talk about this further.

What a beautiful gesture. Thank you so much for sharing this with me. Please let me know if there is a way we can help spread the word. Many grieving moms come our way through Sufficient Grace Ministries. You giving a hankerchief says so many things without saying a word. It says you care, you see their sorrow, and it's a simple gesture of comfort and compassion. Beautiful. Thank you again...

And may God bless your willing heart and your efforts to comfort those who grieve...

I think this is a really wonderful idea. I would love to share a link to your blog on my blog if that would be OK.

I love your idea. When we lost our son two years ago, the hospital dressed him in little clothes handmade by a local group of ladies and wrapped him in a hand-knit blanket made by another group. They gave us a memory box filled with other little tokens to take home and treasure since we couldn't have him. I'm wondering if you've considered sending a supply to your local hospital for them to pass along to grieving moms?

Emily said...

That's just a very welcome gesture, reaching out to moms who's lost our loves. I call us the Empty Belly, Empty Arms Club. Membership - priceless, and not in a good way.

Thank you for offering this to us. Any support is welcome, people like you make this bearable.

Bless you!

this is such a wonderful thing you do. i lost my baby boy Cayden on Aug 8th this year after having him for 3 short days. I had 2 hankies that were my papas that I took with me to the hospital. One I keep with his blanket and outfit from the hospital, with all my tears. And one I carry with me at all times (i don't even want to part with it long enough to wash it). I keep it in my bra and when the tears flow my 3 year old will reach in and grab it "for your tears". There is something so much more comforting for my broken heart and tears than using a kleenix.
Thank you so much

This week is hard for us both as Monday my Ethin would have been 10 months old and her Ethan would have been 9 on Thursday. Her and I we cry together a lot. Most days I am unsure what I would do without her. She was the only person who personally emailed me on Monday to let me know she was thinking of me. We never forget each other on the hard days we face. Could you contact me so she can have something to wipe her tears with? chdhlhs09@yahoo.com I have a blog and from that blog you can link to my sons care page and also Ethan's too. MY ONLY DAUGHTER, AMY DAWN DIED OCT 23, 2009. SHE WAS 33 YEARS OLD BUT HAD BATTLED CANCER OFF AND ON SINCE SHE WAS 10 1/2. CANCER TRIES TO ROB YOU OF EVERYTHING BUT IT DIDN'T GET HER SPIRIT...SHE NEVER COMPLAINED OR WHINED, ALWAYS SMILING AND HUMMING A TUNE. PEOPLE TELL ME I SHOULD BE THANKFUL I HAD HER 33 YEARS....I DON'T CARE IF IT IS 30 MIN OR 70 YEARS, YOUR CHILD IS YOUR CHILD AND THERE IS A TERRIBLE GRIEF EVEN WITH GOD'S HELP. AMY WAS MY SPIRIT OF THE HOLIDAY. MY HUSBAND AND HER 26 YEAR OLD BROTHER ARE SCROOGES...SHE HAS ALWAYS HELPED ME DECORATE AND TO NOT BE ABLE TO HUG HER ANY MORE OR TO SMELL HER....I HAVE TIMES I THINK I CAN'T BREATHE. I HAVE BEEN TO MY DR. TWICE AND WE/MY HUSBAND AND I TOOK CARE OF HER IN OUR HOME 24/7 WITH A HOSPICE NURSE VISITING 3 X'S A WEEK. SHE HAD A TRACH, A PEG FEEDING TUBE AND A WEEK BEFORE SHE DIED SHE WAS DOWN TO 48 POUNDS. MY DR. TOLD MY HUSBAND AND ME THAT WE LIVED UNDER SUCH STRESS TAKING CARE OF HER AND SHE SUFFERED A HORRENDOUS DEATH..HE SAID IT WILL TAKE A LONG TIME TO GET OVER IT. I WAKE UP AND RUN TO THE LIVING ROOM TO CHECK ON HER AND MY HUSBAND HAS TO TELL ME ALL OVER AGAIN, THAT SHE DIED. I'M SORRY. I DON'T MEAN TO DEPRESS ANYONE BUT YOU ARE LEFT WITH YOUR SORROW....THE HANKIE WOULD HELP....THERE IS EVEN A SCRIPTURE IN THE BIBLE THAT SAYS EVERY TEAR WE SHED ARE COLLECTED IN A BOTTLE.
I WILL PROUDLY PUT YOUR BUTTON ON MY BLOG AND I KNOW IT WILL GET PASSED AROUND QUICKLY .
THANK YOU FOR LISTENING TO ME
PLEASE PRAY FOR ME AND MY FAMILY

It warms my heart to know there are compassionate people like you out there. I could never explain how much something like this helps with the emptiness and heartache that parents who have experienced this sort of tragedy are going through. If I can donate or help in any way for one of these handkerchiefs please let me know. From the bottom of my heart I thank you. May Gos bless you and keep you.

I would be grateful to receive a handkerchief and would like to request a second one for my dear friend who lost her son as well.

Thank You! breemcmullen@hotmail.com

SPECIAL REQUEST: I would sincerely appreciate it if you did not share my Ministry on Facebook or Pinterest so I can continue to mail out my handkerchief's. These audiences are just too big for my small ministry.....thank you.
